Questions about complaints

Does Africa.Forex send the complaint for me?

No. We write the letters and open the official email or form, and you send them yourself. Regulators need to hear from the person who lost the money so they can ask you questions and keep you updated.

Who do I complain to about a forex broker in Kenya?

First to the broker. If it does not resolve it, to the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) at complaints@cma.or.ke or through its online complaints portal. Unlicensed platforms can be reported to the CMA directly.

Who do I complain to about a forex broker in South Africa?

First to the broker, which has six weeks to resolve it. Then, within six months of its final answer, to the FAIS Ombud (free, claims up to R3.5 million). Unauthorised operators and scams are reported to the FSCA through fsca@behonest.co.za or 0800 313 626.

I was asked to pay a fee to withdraw. What should I do?

Stop paying. A licensed broker does not ask for a fee, tax or new deposit to release a withdrawal. Report it to your payment provider, the regulator and the police, and keep every receipt and message.

Someone offers to recover my money for a fee. Is it real?

Almost always no. Fund recovery offers are a common second scam aimed at people who already lost money. Regulators and the police do not charge fees.

Can I get my money back?

Sometimes. Money sent by card or bank transfer can occasionally be recalled or charged back if you act fast. Disputes with a licensed broker are often settled once a regulator or ombud is involved. Money sent to scammers through crypto or personal accounts is rarely recovered.
