Corrections and how to report a mistake

Registers change and we can make mistakes. When we find one, we fix it and list it here with the date and the source.

How to report a mistake

  1. Send us the page and what is wrong through the contact form or at contact@africa.forex. A link to the official source helps.
  2. We check your report against the regulator's register or the original source, usually within two working days.
  3. If we were wrong, we fix the page, change its date and add the fix to the log below when it changes a licence, a fee, a limit or a recommendation to check something.

Spelling and layout fixes are not logged. Licence changes that are not our mistake, such as a broker gaining or losing a licence, go to Broker Watch.

Corrections log

  1. Capital.com review and the Kenya broker list

    Before: Capital.com was shown as not on the CMA list in Kenya and unverified in South Africa, and the Kenya page counted 14 licensed brokers.

    Now: Capital.com is licensed in Kenya as CC Kenya Securities Limited, a dealing online forex broker (CMA licence 244), and in South Africa as an approved OTC derivative provider. The Kenya page now lists 14 non-dealing and 2 dealing brokers.

  2. Kenya broker pages

    Before: Some brokers already confirmed on the CMA register carried the note that their licence was not yet checked on the register.

    Now: The note was removed from every broker confirmed on the CMA list.

  3. ThinkMarkets review

    Before: ThinkMarkets was shown as unverified in South Africa.

    Now: ThinkMarkets is shown as licensed in South Africa: TF Global Markets (South Africa) is an approved OTC derivative provider on the FSCA list.
